Going home! Yeah! The downside is of course it is a red eye. Good old Northwest getting it done over night. Hmm… that sounds sort of dirty. Anyhow, I leave here at 11:50 tonight. The flight gets into Detroit at about 5:30am. Oh yeah. At least it is in a 757. From there it is a quick hop to Boston on a DC9. I was trying to remember when I was last on a DC9. I think it was a ValuJet flight from Boston down to Florida for my Grandfather’s funeral.

Anyhow, the downside of a late night flight is that I have nothing to do all day. I worked some this morning. Then I applied to a few airlines (sure I’m short hours but I have such a good personality) We’ll have to see if anything comes of it.

So here it is about 2 hours before I have to leave and I am going to finally start packing. Not that it will take me 2 hours to pack, but if I REALLY stretch it out…. Well, maybe not.

Well, I am almost all done with career pilots. My last two career pilots have finished their instrument checkrides and one is just finishing up his remaining writtens. Then I have some CRM training to do with them both. Then that’s it. Oh yeah, and a ton of paperwork. But that is it. So from here on out (and for the last few days) I have been doing add ons.

Doing add ons (short programs) defiantly has it pluses but it also has it’s down sides… mostly the hours. Mind you the flight hours are good. My logbook has been filling up quickly and the ratio of total hours spent at the airport to hours spent in the airplane is probably close to 80% right now, much better then the <10% it was before. But the 6:30 to 9:30 days are pretty rough.

After the rainy spell we had about a week ago it's was pretty nice. There has been a seriess of high and lows blowing through and everyday it is a surprise what I am going to find.

Rain, wind, cold, hot what ever. At least it is dry enough now to play ultimate.

Here it is only 9:00 and I am already dead tired. I was at work at 8 this morning, which wasn’t bad in it’s self, but then my day just kept going. Sort of like that damn bunny

So, here I am sitting at home waiting to eat dinner and then go to sleep so I can be back at the airport at 6:30 tomorrow morning in order to get a checkride started. Then I get to work an open house for most of the day.

Fun fun.

I decided that I need to put more thought in my posts. so LINKS are making a come back. . Oh Yeah! No really… they are.

One of my two career pilots is taking his some of his written tests right now. Which leaves me sitting here and proctoring. Fun Fun. On the plus side it gives me time to catch up on ALMOST ended up going into a computer type field. But I didn’t. I ended up sitting at a desk looking at tech sort of stuff instead. Funny, it is sort of like the same thing.

Anyhow, one of the things I was reading was that Firefox has come out with a new security update (actually, it just looks like a new version of the software) to thwart people from using non standard non latin characters to spoof websites. Wow. Anyhow, I am going to stop before I ramble away here.
