Got in late last night and got a phone call early this morning. Class date is July 25th. Less then 2 weeks. Sweet! Not to knock the Seminole, but my new office is pretty darn cool.

Actually the second picture is of the -700 model of the CRJ. I won’t be flying that for a few months probably, but the -200 looks about the same, just a bit shorter.

So tomorrow I fly out on USAir to go to CLT for my interview with PSA. Yikes! My flight gets in at around 3 and I am booked in a hotel. I have a sim slot sometime between 6 and 10. 737-400 Level D (full motion). It should be fun. I guess for the most part I am confident. I know my stuff. I have a good personality. I really want the job. So, I think my game plan is to go in, be up beat and do the best I can. More coming soon I guess!

So I finally got a call back. PSA decided to give me the shot at an interview. They are non reving me out of here on Monday. I should get the ticket/interview info tomorrow sometime. I get into CLT
sometime early evening and head right over to the sim. That’s right. Good old 737 level D (full motion) sim. Never flown anything NEARLY that big. It’s an old -400 model so it is all steam gauge/raw data. Just as well as at least some of the stuff will look familiar. The actual interview is the next day. Between now and then I have SO much stuff to do. Yikes.

It’s fire season out here. Fortunately there hasn’t been any big ones, but there have been a few that have been burning for a while. They have been running tanker ops out of Gateway for a few weeks now. There are 2 or 3 heavy P-3s out of here and although it isn’t causing huge problems, ops have been slowed a bit.
New pictures up.
