Sunrise

January 14th, 2006

I sat TDY reserve in Charlotte for 4 days. All kinds of fun. Out of the whole deal I got two legs and a high speed at that. We left Charlotte at about 8pm and headed south to Fayettville, Arkansas. We got in around 10:30 (well, actually 9:30 as they are back an hour) and left at 5:40 in the morning. It meant getting up at 3:45 in the morning after going to sleep at 10:30 the night before. They don’t call it a highspeed for nothing. I got back into Charlotte at 8:30 and grabbed a flight back up here. The nice thing about the high speed is that you are done for the day early in the morning. If I was in base it wouldn’t be bad at all, but as was I didn’t get back here until 12:30. A LONG day already. Anyhow, a nice picture of the sunrise over Nashville from 33,000 feet.

Hello Again

January 12th, 2006

Been out for a while. A very happy new year and all that. The first few days of January (well, that I worked anyways) were really busy. A 5 day trip. Over all it wasn’t too bad, with a few nice long legs. The crew wasn’t the best, but I can deal with that in the short term.

I’ve been working with Gallery Software and it seems to be working pretty well. I have to skin it still so it interfaces with the current layout of the site. The nice thing is that it uses MySQL so there is a whole lot more functionality as well as features. I now need to copy over and classify most of the pictures that were in the old system. For now, two images from last week.
